Shrub or small tree to 13m tall. Leaves alternating up the stems, usually 5-14cm long, 7-28mm wide, hairless, margins entire or obscurely toothed, with long pointed tips. Flowers tubular, white with purple spots inside, with 5 lobes, in groups of 3-8 at the bases of the leaves. Fruit purplish black. Native to areas well east and north of the area covered by this key. Family Myoporaceae in SA.
Differs from Myoporum montanum in that the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves are the different colours.
Differs from Myoporum platycarpum in that the ripe fruit is fleshy.
